Gregorio Zuniga-Villanueva
MD, MSc
Gregorio is an Associate Professor at McMaster University in Canada, a Department Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey in México and a Faculty member at the Institute of Palliative Medicine in India. Clinically, he serves as the Head of Service for the QoLA Care program at McMaster Children's Hospital. His research focuses on perinatal palliative care, the concept of suffering, and the development of pediatric palliative care in Latin America.
Dave Lysecki
MD, FRCPC
Dave is an Associate Professor and Head of the Division of Pediatric Palliative Medicine at McMaster University in Canada. He is the Medical Director of Canada's Pediatric Palliative Care Alliance and of Keaton's House - Paul Palletta's Children's Hospice and the founder of the QoLA Care program at McMaster Children's Hospital. His research focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric palliative care programs, as well as patient- and family-reported outcome measures.


Joanna Humphreys
MD, FRCPC
Joanna is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University in Canada. She is the director of the Pediatric Palliative Medicine fellowship program and the educational lead for the QoLA Care program at McMaster Children's Hospital. Her research focuses on pediatric palliative care education, advanced care planning, childhood grief and physician wellness.
Christine Bentley-Wang
MD, FRCPC
Christine is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University in Canada. Clinically she is a Staff Physician in the QoLA Care Program at McMaster Children's Hospital, and a consultant pediatrician with Keewatinohk Inniniw Minoayawin (Jordan’s Principle). Her research focuses on advancing child health equity by centring culturally grounded narratives and trauma-informed decision-making to support communities historically mistreated by the medical system in navigating complex grief, hope and death.
